Gary W. Fisher, OD has practiced in Eastern Iowa for over 40 years. Dr. Fisher received his undergraduate education at Arkansas State University and Upper Iowa University. He received his Doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1976. He completed postgraduate work at American Hospital in Chicago and St. Lukes Eye Institute in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Dr. Fisher was on the faculty of the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines for four years.
Dr. Fisher practices full scope eyecare, with an emphasis on medical eyecare. He has a special interest in glaucoma treatment, diagnosis and management of macular degeneration, and pre- and postoperative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Fisher and his wife, Marcia, are the parents of two grown children, Nichole and Cory.
